about us panelists moderator past panels contact us

This panel will take an inside look at scripted series on network, cable and pay television, both comedy and drama. We’ll be hearing from creators who pitch ideas, a studio exec who hears the pitches and sells to the networks, a network exec who buys the ideas and gives the green light,  an entertainment attorney who makes the deals, and creative talents who write, produce and “run” their series, delivering great episodes every week of their show’s schedule.

This is a chance to hear from the experts about the whole process – from having a great series idea to watching it on TV, and everything that happens in between. The odds are against it, but new pilots are made every year and new shows get on the air every season (and mid-season). What made those ideas different than all the ideas that never made it past the pitch? The panelists will tell you what they know from first-hand experience working with some of the best shows on television.
